The International Detailing Association (IDA) describes detailing as: "Detailing involves a thorough cleaning and reconditioning of both the interior and exterior of your vehicle. It is a meticulous step-by-step process to restore your vehicle's beauty and protect your investment". The trend of detailing videos on social media has caused many to offer basic car washing under the banner of 'detailing'. It is important to understand what service you are paying for and discuss your expectations prior. We offer full detail packages, which are very time-consuming, to ensure we clean and condition your vehicle back to its original state. In some cases, it could take over 24 hours if deep cleaning of fabrics is required to ensure they are fully dry. We only use the highest quality automotive products that are safe for your vehicle's surfaces and provide a beautiful finish. You won't find any household cleaners, 'wash and wax' soaps or glossy silicone oil dressings in our services. We will discuss any concerns with you during the process and encourage you to discuss your expectations prior. This way we can ensure we address any areas you highlight during your detail or advise if further work is necessary.
Why detail a new car?
Taking ownership of a new car is the best time to build a relationship with a detailer. Just like regular servicing of your engine, regular detailing will help keep the vehicle in new condition throughout its lifespan. It's quite often a misconception that new vehicles don't need detailing. Sitting outside in shipping yards and dealerships for months is far from an ideal treatment of the paintwork. We often see glue remnants from shipping protection, contaminant build-up from storage and swirls and scratches from the spray and wipe over 'clean' before delivery.
